Imagine actually seeing someone else’s dream.
This is the experience “Dreams Reclaimed” gave viewers. We took three people who, because of a sleep disorder, had lost the ability to remember their dreams. And we gave them their dreams back. How? With a faithful frame-by-frame retelling of their first post-treatment dream. The film contrasted these actual dreams with the very real daily battles our dreamers faced living with sleep deprivation. The film drove awareness that 40% of Americans don’t get enough sleep and lack of sleep is a contributing factor in 7 out of 10 of America’s biggest health crises. “Dreams Reclaimed” ran as a short film during select theaters’ Coming Attractions and drove to a site featuring curated content, BuzzFeed Listicles, HuffPo articles, even specially-written pieces from the New York Times, all designed to get people to ask themselves one honest question, “Am I getting enough sleep?”
